LEADERSHIP AND DECISIONS
The clan is governed by the Dragon Council
, a board of six, each with one vote. The council is made up of the three
Dragon Lords , and the three Wing Commanders
.
The three Wing Commanders are elected every
two months by the members of the clan by secret ballot to the clan leaders.
Being chosen as a Wing Commander is the greatest
honor any member could ever receive, for they are chosen to represent their
brothers and sisters on the Council.
For a fuller description of how the Council and other groups within the clan
interact, see the Political Structure
essays.
CLAN DEMOTION
Demotion results from a moderately serious offense. It is not taken lightly,
and is handled by majority vote of council. There are many reasons one may be
demoted; some of them are listed here.
- General disregard for rules.
- Causing problems for the clan, such as insulting other clans. Remember,
we are nobles here.
- Acting in a manner unbefitting your rank, i.e., flaunting your rank or
level.
- An act of disgrace to themselves or the clan. A quest may be taken to redeem
one's self.
- Auctioning of clan property (potions, eq, etc.).
- Use and/or auctioning of an allied or favored clan's property, without
the permission of a leader of that clan (Eq from public clans is, of course,
exempt).
- Attacking another clan without permission.
- Alignment dropping to evil repeatedly.
- Obtaining -15 dragon points is an instant demotion. Negative dragon points
can not be removed by gaining positive dragon points. After a certain amount
of time, the Dragon Council may decide if the
player have proven themselves worthy of removing the points.
OUTCASTING
Outcasting a player is for a serious offense or the repeated disregard for
rules. Outcasting is ONLY done by a majority vote of the council, unless a clan
member requests that they be outcast. There are fairly few reasons a member
may be forcibly outcast. Examples include:
- Pkilling an allied clan member.
- Attacking an ally's clanroom.
- Auctioning, selling or trading of clan or allied clan eq.
- Repeated violations of the rules.
- Two or more demotions.
- A request to leave. In this instance, some money may be given to aid in
endeavors.
- Treason.
- Alignment is repeatedly low even after demotion and warnings.
REMORTING
The Clan has implemented a system of remort taxation. This tax must be paid
while at SuperHero, prior to remorting, in the presence of a member of the Council.
The remort tax is a flat 1 million, with a tier tax of 10 million.
THE DRAGON CODE OF HONOR
We are nobles, so a number of basic rules govern our behavior. Some of the
more obvious of these are as follows:
- Always act in a manner befitting a knight. This has nothing to do with
your rank, and everything to do with your attitude.
- Do not attack unprovoked (except on mobs, of course).
- Treat others with courtesy and respect, even our enemies.
- Always help whenever possible, especially a clan brother or sister.
TREATMENT OF OTHER CLANS
A set of rules has been proposed governing treatment of other clans in various
situations. While there are at current only suggested guidelines, not hard rules,
it is suggested that they be followed, as they made soon become accepted hard
rules.
- Regarding Warfare
- In Clan wars, Enemy clans should be eliminated first, and Allied clans
saved until last, when feasible.
- Regarding PK
- Full PK is allowed towards members of Enemy clans. No other PK is permitted,
except in extraordinary cases by decree of the Council.
- Regarding Equipment
- Equipment belonging to Enemy or Neutral clans (as well as open clans
and clanshops) may be worn, held, auctioned, sold, bought, given away,
or used as Christmas ornaments without restriction.
- Equipment belonging to Friendly clans should be returned to the clan
who owns it when possible. Otherwise, it is not permissible to hold, carry,
use, or sell it.
- Equipment belonging to Allied clans may be used if a EQ alliance exists
between us and them, according to the terms of that alliance. Otherwise,
the same rules as given for Friendly clans pertain.
- Regarding Raid Defense
- Defense of an Enemy clan is not permitted.
- Defense of a Neutral clan is permitted at the member's discretion;
however, members are STRONGLY discouraged from defending when a Friendly
or Allied clan is part of the raiding team, and members of such clans
should NEVER be attacked as part of a defense.
- Any member level 190 or higher is expected to help defend a Friendly
clan in need.
- Any member level 170 or higher is expected to help defend an Allied
clan in need.
