It is mandatory for all Dragon Knights and Dragon Knight Elites to join a wing. Knights are able to join wings voluntarily if they choose to, Pages and Squires cannot. Any Dragon Knight or Dragon Knight Elite who feels they are not able to join a wing must notify the Dragon Lords as to the reason why. Dragon Knight's and Dragon Knight Elite's who do not wish to join a wing but do not have a good reason not to will be demoted to Knight with no other penalties.

The Leadership of each wing is a joint effort by a Wing Commander and a Dragon Lord. Wing Commanders are not able to be part of more than one wing. WC's will continue to be elected about every three months, and can hold the position for as long as they keep getting voted in, unless this becomes a problem.

A dissertation on the nature of the political structure of the clan, including the nature and overall plan for the Wings, is available here . It describes thoroughly the basis upon which the Wings are built, and how they relate with each other, the Council, and the members. The information in it will be integrated into this page over time.

THE INTELLIGENCE WING

The purpose of this wing is to gather information about the mud for our clannies and to maintain the web page. Duties include:

• Seeking out the best equipment for level ranges.
• Finding good leveling equipment.
• Finding and exploring new areas.
• Posting all of this information on the web page for the use of other Dragon members.
• Maintaining the clan webpage.
• Figuring out mobprogs and puzzles.

THE RELATIONS WING

The Relations wing is responsible for all inter- and intra-clan relations. Jobs of this wing include:

• Providing mentors for new recruits to Dragon and teaching them the ways.
• Working in conjunction with the Intelligence Wing to perform background checks on applicants who might have backgrounds that need checking.
• Discussing ways to improve the application system.
• Organizing social events to run within the clan and also for the entire MUD.
• Discussing inter-clan issues such as the placement of clans on our alliance list, eq alliances, wars with other clans, and general issues about our relationship with other clans on Aardwolf.

THE DEFENSE WING

The purpose of the Defense wing is to, *gasp*, defend! It is concerned with all matters involving combat and other martial actions. Pk, raid defense, war, and similar subjects are within their jurisdiction. Duties include:

• Staying at SH for a period of time to aid in defense and pk.
• Defending our allies and ourselves against raids.
• Defending our allies and ourselves against PK attacks.
• Organizing the defense of our clan hall during raids.
• Teaching those who wish to learn the basics of raiding/pk.
• Working in conjunction with the Intelligence Wing to explore new areas (SH's have an easier time of it).
• Discussing general issues relating to defense and the Guardian plan.

SUMMARY

The duties set forth here are not all inclusive, and indeed may be changed by the wing if they feel it necessary. It is entirely up to the Wing Commander, Dragon Lord and the members of the Wing as a whole, how the wing will be run and what things its members should be doing.
